Planning an amazing Caribbean honeymoon

Some say, “After the wedding comes the marriage”. What better way to start that journey than with a honeymoon in the Caribbean?

A honeymoon in the Caribbean is more than just a vacation.  Here are some important steps to planning a great honeymoon in the Caribbean…

Planning, planning, and planning!

The sweetest honeymoons are those full of surprises, fun, and spontaneity, allowing you and your spouse explore the depths of love together and look to the future with hope and conviction, but it all starts with a careful planning. Read an article, call your travel agent, ask questions and ensure that those flower petals are on those immaculate sheets when you open the doors to your new romantic experience. The hotel resorts must be planned, locations to visit must be pre-arranged,  and your budget carefully organized.

Have places to go

Staring into each other’s eyes can take up the whole day and it should, but it’s better you do so on a beach, by the pool, on a boat trip, under the perfect sunlight and not just on your bed. Those memories create an affection bank that will make the trip worthwhile. Have plans for the morning, day, and night but, just as importantly, ensure that some engagements can be easily canceled because rain on a honeymoon can be good thing.

Book early

Nothing is better than being ahead of the queue. Early planning and decision-making puts less strain on both of you during and after wedding preparations and gives you access to the best locations and discount rates, especially if you need to operate within a budget. It also shows your partner you are ready for the big commitment, but more importantly, saves you many last-minute hassles.

Prepare all your travel documents

Nothing is worse than having your flower petals wilt on the bed because your travel documents are incomplete. Take time to check again and ensure they are kept safe. Deal with any and all immigration matters that might cause a delay, because after the kiss of love is made at the altar the night will seem so far.

Don’t forget to confirm!

As the date of departure draws near, go through all preparation plans again, call the travel agency to confirm, check your flight tickets, call the hotels and check your bank balance to make sure all deductions were made and that you have enough emergency funds ready because love comes like the wave of a sea and no man has seen its crest.

Now that all preparations have been made, kiss your spouse as the water flows over the shoreline and wets your feet. And as the sun sets over the horizon, look into their eyes and tell them you love them. Have a splendid honeymoon!
